Car import broker from the USA
A car import broker from the USA is an intermediary who bids at Copart and IAAI auctions on your behalf, buys the car you choose, arranges sea freight to the port of Klaipėda and handles customs clearance. You do not need to register at the auctions, post deposits or learn import procedures.
What does a car broker do?
The broker takes over the whole technical and administrative side of the purchase — from checking the listing to delivering the car to your address.
- Finding the car and vetting the listing on Copart and IAAI
- Bidding at the auction on your behalf, up to an agreed limit
- Inland transport in the USA and container shipping to Klaipėda
- Customs formalities and paperwork
- Delivery from Klaipėda to your address anywhere in Lithuania
How does buying through a broker work?
The process starts with the car you pick and ends with the keys in your hand.
- 1You pick a car on Copart or IAAI and send us the link or the LOT number.
- 2We vet the listing — documents, history and condition — and tell you whether it is worth bidding on.
- 3We agree a maximum price and sign a brokerage contract (via M. parašas or Smart-ID).
- 4We bid at the auction. If we do not win, it costs you nothing.
- 5Once we win, we issue an invoice for the full amount to Klaipėda, payable within two business days.
- 6The car is shipped to Klaipėda. You get photos from the terminal and shipment tracking.
- 7On arrival we handle the customs formalities and deliver the car.
Where does the car arrive in Lithuania?
Cars from the USA travel by sea in containers and are unloaded at the port of Klaipėda — the gateway through which American cars enter Lithuania. Our office is in Klaipėda at Rūko g. 4, in the same city where the car reaches shore, so unloading and customs questions are handled locally. From Klaipėda we deliver the car to any address in Lithuania.
Is a deposit required?
No deposit is required before the auction. If we do not win, it costs you nothing. Once we win, we issue an invoice for the full amount to Klaipėda — the price of the car and all fees — payable within two business days. Import taxes are paid separately when the car arrives in Lithuania, and we help you with that.
Why use a broker instead of buying yourself?
Even with access to the auction, you are still left with inland transport in the USA, booking a container, sea freight, insurance, customs declarations and paperwork — each step with its own deadlines and risks. A broker does all of it as a single service and is accountable for the result.
Have a specific car in mind?
Send us the LOT number or the link — we will vet the listing and tell you whether it is worth bidding on.
